FLIQKEY SUPPORT
A little help.
Back to your flow.
Set up your keyboard, make it yours, and find answers when something doesn’t feel right.
START HERE
Make it your everyday keyboard.
These steps are for the native iOS app once it’s installed. FliqKey is currently in development; a public download is not available on this website.
- 1
Add FliqKey in Settings
Open iOS Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard, then choose FliqKey.
- 2
Switch with the globe
Open a text field in an app that allows custom keyboards. Hold the globe key and choose FliqKey.
- 3
Keep Full Access off
FliqKey does not request Full Access. Typing, swipe input, and local learning work without it.
- 4
Find your fit
Use Find your fit in the FliqKey app, or open the keyboard’s sliders menu to adjust your layout, hand position, and key height.
YOU’RE IN CONTROL
Your words. Your decisions.
Keep a spelling or undo a correction
Use Keep when a spelling is intentional, or Undo to reverse the last available correction. Hold a suggestion to see options for teaching FliqKey your preference.
Pause learning or start a Private Session
Open the sliders menu in the keyboard. In Learning & privacy, turn off Learn from my typing to pause automatic learning. Private Session is available from the controls overview and also pauses correction history.
Review or delete learned data
Open Learning & privacy → What FliqKey remembers to manage saved spellings, rules, and swipe examples. Use Reset learning to clear categories or choose Reset all learning.
The app playground and the system keyboard learn separately. To manage what the system keyboard remembers, open its own sliders menu while typing in another app.
COMMON QUESTIONS
A few things to try.
Why can’t I see FliqKey in a text field?
Check that you added FliqKey in iOS Settings, then hold the globe in a supported text field. Secure fields, some phone-number fields, and apps that disallow custom keyboards use Apple’s keyboard instead. The FliqKey app cannot reliably check whether the keyboard is enabled for every app.
Why doesn’t a word from Playground appear in my keyboard?
Playground learning stays in the FliqKey app. The system keyboard has its own private learning store. The app offers explicit local sharing for selected spellings and saved swipe practice examples; it does not automatically share everything you type.
What if a swipe produces the wrong word?
Choose an available alternative or undo the word. Open Train swipe in the app, or Teach FliqKey in the keyboard, to practice a word and explicitly save a corrected swipe example. Recognition is still being evaluated. Swipe input is unavailable in some contexts, including email and URL fields.
How do I fix an uncomfortable layout?
Open the keyboard’s sliders menu and choose Layout. Adjust hand position, key height, or layout style. Find your fit in the companion app provides a guided trial. Saved layouts can keep different configurations for each display and orientation.
Does Private Session protect text in the app I’m using?
Private Session controls FliqKey’s learning and correction history. It does not change how the app receiving your text stores or uses it. Review that app’s privacy settings separately.
Which languages does FliqKey predict?
FliqKey currently provides English predictions. Names, dialects, and writing styles may need explicit teaching. Multilingual prediction is not currently available.
Is the website playground the actual keyboard?
It’s a small web demonstration of typing, simple corrections, Keep, and Undo. It does not run the native swipe or learning engines. Reset clears it, and entered text is not saved when you reload or leave the page.
